The Heritage Alliance is run on a day to day basis by a small, professional Secretariat. The Secretariat is overseen by a Board of Trustees, comprised of senior representatives from our membership base.
The Alliance employs three permanent members of staff and four project staff:

- Toks Ferguson, Office Manager
- Karen Bewick, Heritage Protection Reform Co-ordinator
- Deborah Jarman, Places of Worship Development Officer
- Catharine Bull, Discovering Places Project Co-ordinator
- Claire Horan, Discovering Places Project Manager
